It is 2024, and BeWooden is embarking on a new project called Lišárna – they are starting to produce wooden toys. They have a year of testing, development, and approved certifications behind them. Lišárna toys are made to bring joy to children, created for their amazing world full of imagination and play without rules. They are made sustainably and exclusively from natural materials, locally in the Beskydy Mountains. They want children to play with toys that are made meaningfully and with added value. Toys that will entertain children and allow them to create their own world. Toys that are handmade here in Czechia, and above all, to create a new world for children full of joy and love with their forest friends. But now back to the beginning... Made in the Beskydy Mountains! The story of this Czech company began in 2013, when three friends, Ctirad, Patrik, and Jakub, decided to step out of line and make something new. "We say that we make everything by hand, but the truth is that we do everything with our hearts." At the beginning of BeWooden, there was a belief in the uniqueness and refined taste of each person, a belief in the beauty of neglected traditional crafts. Their products are the result of honest handwork, they are timeless, exclusive, and made in harmony with nature. They didn't have to look far to find a team that would embrace the company's philosophy. They found carpenter Dan and seamstress Hanka in the foothills of the Beskydy Mountains, where they themselves come from. This is how the first BeWooden product was created – a wooden bow tie. They then set about designing other unique products. In 2014 and 2015, they gave their products a new dimension with a new engraving machine. Customers' initials, important dates, life mottos, and quotes appeared on the products. Thanks to their participation in a trade fair, they also gained their first foreign representation and entered the German market. This step proved successful, with positive reviews and orders coming in from various countries around the world. This marked the beginning of their journey into the Scandinavian market – Denmark, Sweden, and Finland. BeWooden then moved production from a small garage to a large workshop in Rychaltice. They found a place where they could have sewing and engraving machines and all the fabrics in one place. Orders are also processed from here, from receipt to shipment. This has made their work more efficient and given the company new room for growth. Offices were added to the new workshop, creating a creative team that promoted the products through various campaigns. They designed, photographed, filmed, tested products, and created unique stories. Since 2016, the company's story has continued to develop. During these years, they have gained several major collaborations, creating limited editions for the Špalek winery, the Mirai group, Jack Daniel's, the Czech Tourist Club, the Beauty of Help Foundation, and the Světluška project of the Czech Radio Foundation. BeWooden also appeared on the Czech Television program Made in Czechia. Behind the scenes of the workshop, they showed the production process step by step. They added wooden brooches of foxes, wolves, and deer to their wide portfolio, which customers immediately fell in love with. That's why they later decided to create a series of brooches featuring different dog breeds. Two of these brooches were charity items. The biggest challenge and fulfilled dream was the creation of watches. BeWooden has been successful in reviving a number of crafts in Czechia, such as bag making and jewelry making, and its long-term goal was to bring back watchmaking, which has a long tradition in the Czech Republic. The design is minimalist, with clean lines and elegance. For the 100th anniversary of the republic, they released brooches, bow ties, bracelets, earrings, and other products with national motifs.
