The English brand Bigjigs Toys was founded in 1985 and initially focused solely on the production of wooden puzzles. The owners made everything by hand, with love, in a small garden shed and sold their products at the market. Satisfied customers motivated the manufacturer to come up with many more ideas and expand their range to include other wooden toys. Mail order and catalog sales were added. The brand's popularity and reputation grew, leading to wholesale sales and, in order to maintain production prices, a move and expansion of production to the east. Other large retailers in England took notice of the new brand of high-quality and imaginative toys. Today, Bigjigs Toys remains family-owned with huge warehouses in southeast England. The company continues to supply its toys to a wide customer base in the UK and Western Europe, supported by a loyal, dedicated, and hard-working team of employees. All Bigjigs Toys wooden toys are designed in England and manufactured both there and in Eastern Europe and Southeast Asia.
