Consent to the processing of personal data

On behalf of Dvěděti.cz s.r.o., with its registered office at Sadová 618, Frýdek-Místek, 738 01, Company ID No. 09198580, VAT number CZ09198580, registered in the Commercial Register maintained by the Regional Court in Ostrava, Section C, File 82355 (hereinafter referred to as the "Administrator"), we ask for your consent to the processing of your personal data for marketing purposes.

Scope of processed data

The controller processes customers' personal data to the following extent:

  • First name, last name
  • Business name, ID number, registered office (for entrepreneurs)
  • Contact details (e-mail, telephone, mailing address)
  • Transaction and order data
  • Order history
  • Information about website and email campaign usage (e.g., IP address, cookies)
  • Specific data related to marketing and analytics
  • Call and interaction records

We obtain this data directly from you or from cooperating third parties. For some features (e.g., product reviews), your name may be displayed publicly. However, this will only be to the extent that you have specified.

Legal basis for processing

The legal basis for the processing of your personal data is your consent given to this controller within the meaning of Article 6(1)(a) of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council (GDPR) on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation) and on the basis of Act No. 110/2019 Coll. on the processing of personal data. In the case of advertising personalization and retargeting, processing is also based on the legitimate interest of the controller pursuant to Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR.

  • Legitimate interest of the controller (profiling, retargeting – e.g., statistics, advertising)

Purposes of data processing

Personal data is processed for the following purposes:

  • Offering products and services provided by Dvěděti.cz s.r.o. and cooperating third parties, including through electronic channels
  • Processing orders, concluding purchase contracts, and delivering goods
  • Communication with customers and support
  • Maintaining user accounts
  • Personalization of offers and retargeting of advertising
  • Compliance with legal obligations (e.g., accounting and tax obligations)
  • Marketing processing and personalization
  • Analysis and profiling to tailor our offer to your needs and improve the quality of our services
  • Sending newsletters and commercial communications (with consent)

Processing includes marketing operations such as statistical and mathematical analysis, profiling, segmentation, reporting, and retargeting.

News and other commercial communications may be sent to the buyer's email address or telephone number, unless the buyer refuses to receive them. You can unsubscribe from commercial communications at any time (e.g., by sending an email or clicking on the link in the commercial communication – unsubscribe).

Security of processing and access to data

All personal data is processed with the highest level of security and emphasis on confidentiality. Access to it is restricted to authorized persons who are bound by confidentiality and trained in the protection of personal data. The controller has implemented appropriate technical and organizational measures to secure the data against loss, misuse, or unauthorized access. These measures include encryption, regular system updates, and access rights management.

Personal data processors

The processing of personal data may be entrusted to processors with whom we have concluded personal data processing agreements. The main processors include:

  • Seznam.cz, a.s. Radlická 3294/10, Prague 5, 150 00, ID No.: 26168685 – Sklik and Zboží.cz, retargeting, purchase reviews
    If you agree to the transfer of personal data for the purpose of purchase evaluation, we will forward the order information together with your email address to Seznam.cz. They can then use this information to obtain independent evaluations of our products and services. The transferred personal data will only be kept for the time necessary for this use. Our website uses retargeting technology from the Sklik service operated by Seznam.cz, a.s. This allows us to show visitors who have already expressed interest in our products our advertisements on the Seznam.cz, a.s. advertising network.

  • Heureka Shopping s.r.o., Karolinská 706/3, 186 00 Prague 8, ID: 02387727 – Heureka.cz, product comparison site
    If you agree to receive a satisfaction survey when shopping at our e-shop, we will pass on your name, email address, and order information to Heureka Shopping s.r.o., which may send you an email requesting a review. This service is provided as part of the "Verified by Customers" program. Heureka will only use your data for this purpose and for the necessary period of time.

    Our website uses remarketing technology from Google Adwords, operated by Google. This allows us to show our ads on Google's advertising network to visitors who have already expressed interest in our products. Third-party vendors, including Google, display our ads on various websites. Third-party vendors (including Google) use cookies to display ads based on the user's previous visits to the www.dvedeti.cz e-shop and on data about other websites visited by the user on the Internet. Users can opt out of Google's storage of cookies in their browser on the Google Ads Settings page. Another option is to refer visitors to the Network Advertising Initiative's opt-out page to opt out of receiving cookies from third-party vendors.

The above personal data may be processed both manually and automatically and will be processed exclusively for the purposes listed above and will not be transferred to other persons (except for the exceptions specified above) or made available to any other recipients.

Retention period for personal data

Dvěděti.cz s.r.o. will process personal data on the basis of marketing consent for a period of 38 months from the date of consent (consent may be revoked at any time – the data will be deleted immediately in accordance with the GDPR). This period is renewed with each subsequent activity (e.g., a new order).

  • We store data processed for the purposes of order fulfillment and accounting for the period specified by applicable legislation (e.g., tax documents) – typically 10 years.
  • Analytical and technical data (e.g., cookies): usually up to 13 months, depending on the specific tools

The data will be reviewed at least once a year in terms of its relevance and necessity, or when the validity of the consent or the purpose of processing changes. After the consent expires and becomes ineffective, your personal data will be deleted.

Your rights

Consent is voluntary, so you have the right at any time to:

  • access your personal data and information about its processing
  • correct inaccurate data or complete incomplete data
  • erasure (the so-called right to be forgotten)
  • object to processing
  • withdraw consent at any time without giving a reason
  • request the transfer of data in a machine-readable format to another controller
  • lodging a complaint with the Office for Personal Data Protection
