Owl Wise Head. The Numbers and Symbols game is an educational toy and aid for children aged 4 to 8, which helps children learn numbers and counting from 1 to 20. It facilitates the mastery of simple mathematical operations +, -, x, :. The cards are made of sturdy, hard cardboard, covered with a glossy lamination for easy maintenance.

The game consists of twenty different colored numbers and symbols that can be placed on a table or held in your hand. A great tool for playful and interactive learning of numbers and basic arithmetic operations – addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division with numbers from 1 to 20. Higher numbers can be composed using two cards, e.g., "2" and "8" = "28."

Fun learning with cards works just as well in the classroom, in hobby groups, and at home with siblings and parents. It is a great motivation for younger children to get involved in counting numbers and to master it successfully.

How to play:

Children divide the numbers and symbols into pairs or groups so that some show numbers and some show mathematical operations. Choose the operations according to the age and knowledge of the players.

1. One of the players (or an adult or teacher) determines who will pick up the numbers and who will pick up the operations. They then determine the known numbers and operations in the example and leave one unknown member. The group or player in the place of the unknown member tries to find the correct letter or operation and raise it above their head.

2. Two groups of children can compete against each other in finding the solution. One group puts together an incomplete example where one or more elements of the example (operation or number) are missing. The other group must find all the missing elements within a set time. The groups take turns and receive points for correct solutions. The group with the most points wins.

3. The teacher distributes cards with symbols and numbers (one or more) to the children in the class. The teacher writes examples with missing elements (operations or numbers) on the board. At the teacher's signal, the children raise the card with the correct solution above their heads as quickly as possible.

4. With this set of cards, you can come up with many more fun games involving counting. There are no limits to your imagination.
