What is PLAYFOAM®?

Playfoam® modeling clay is made from tiny soft foam balls bound together with a special adhesive. The balls can be removed one at a time.

The modeling clay is really light, so you can even create large works of art with it. But even when you create large models and structures, the modeling clay does not collapse and still holds its shape. Only when the modeling clay is exposed to higher temperatures can the binder lose its strength. For example, direct sunlight is not good for it.

To strengthen long and thin shapes, such as poles, tree trunks, or flowers, insert a stick into the material or use fuzzy wires wrapped in modeling clay.

The special binder is non-allergenic and non-toxic and will hold the balls together, but will not stick to furniture, objects, or the floor. Even ordinary loop pile carpet will survive contact with Playfoam® modeling clay unscathed! Just place a small ball of modeling clay on the fallen piece and it's cleaned up.

This special binder was developed in the laboratory over two years to meet safety regulations and demanding requirements for its special properties. Even during long periods of play, when the material heats up in your hands, it does not lose the important properties that make Playfoam® so valuable to mothers.
