The "VEB PIKO" covered wagon is a detailed model of a freight car in H0 scale (1:87), representing a flatbed freight car with containers in operation by the Deutsche Reichsbahn (DR) during Era IV (approximately 1970–1990). The model is designed for analog DC (direct current) power supply on two rails and is suitable for both collectors and modelers who want to realistically complement their freight trains with East German railway operations.

The model is approximately 157 mm long over the buffers and is equipped with a standard NEM coupler pocket with short kinematics, making it compatible with common model couplers. The car is equipped with two 20' containers, which are already included in the model and represent typical cargo for this type of car.
