New in 2025. The electric locomotive BR 242 "Tinker" is a model of the famous Czech Railways series 242 from epoch VI. The locomotive impresses with its attractive design and precisely crafted details that faithfully correspond to the real model.

The structural elements, especially in the area of ​​bogies and roof equipment, are processed with a high degree of precision. The model is equipped with an integrated PIKO PSD XP sound decoder from the factory. The lighting of the driver's cabin, instrument panels and engine room can be digitally switched on and off. The largest possible loudspeaker installed directly from the factory ensures realistic sound performance.

The S 499.02 series locomotives were manufactured for the Czechoslovak State Railways and after 1988 were renamed to the 242 series. At the Czech Railways, these universal four-axle electric locomotives are used in passenger and light freight transport. Thanks to their reliability, they are among the long-term machines of the Czech Railways.
