For 2022, manufacturer Piko has prepared an exceptional gift for Czech and Slovak fans of TT scale model railways: the S 499.1 "Laminátka" (Škoda 47E) locomotive in the typical colors of the ČSD design. The body molding and chassis casting meet the highest standards of workmanship, reproducing and carefully preserving even the smallest details of the machine. Among the most attractive details are the engine room skylights, distinctive doors, and the intricate roof landscape crowned with pantographs and headlights at the front. The paintwork and printing on the model are of first-class quality and confirm the level of detail in the parts. Smooth operation of the model is ensured by a motor with two flywheels, which offers high power transmitted to all axles and a diagonally arranged pair of bandaged wheels. The locomotive's lighting changes color from white to red and vice versa depending on the direction of travel, and the driver's cab and engine room are also illuminated. For extended control of the drive and lights, the model can be supplemented with a digital decoder with the appropriate interface.
