This set of precisely crafted passenger cars offers a unique glimpse into German railways of the 1950s, which used converted compartment cars known as Umbauwagen. Their design has been completely reworked by PIKO, and the models are even more accurate and detailed representations of their prototypes. The three-axle cars are supplied in tightly coupled pairs with precise kinematics, thus consistently reflecting their real-life models. At first glance, they attract attention with their detailed, transparent windows and chassis with levers and brake lines rendered down to the smallest detail. But they also feature a wealth of equally important details, such as steps and handrails. In addition to their uncompromisingly detailed exterior, they also offer a detailed interior that is faithful to the original. The cars are particularly suitable for building complete sets using the E 32 electric locomotive (model no. 51410). They are also ready to be retrofitted with a control decoder and specially designed modules for interior and end lighting.
