New for 2025: Starting in 1969, it was the turn of the 03 series steam locomotives, which were rebuilt for further years of operation. The main emphasis was placed on a general overhaul of the boiler, including the mixed preheater, redesigned vertical boiler, and ash pan. The locomotives also underwent a reorganization of the pumps, the characteristic mixed preheater system on the smoke box, and a new roof on the cab. The refurbished locomotives served in long-distance transport for a good decade.
