The track occupancy detector is designed for digital control of a model railway. It is used to detect the presence of a vehicle in an isolated track section and to transmit this information to the control system. This module is designed to be scale-independent - it can be used for various sizes of model railways (e.g. N, TT, H0), because it works on the principle of current consumption detection and is not tied to a specific scale of vehicles. The sensor is designed for connection to a digital model railway system and is used to report track occupancy, traffic automation, train path control and trackside security functions

This is an electronic accessory, not a locomotive or a car. The product is supplied without a power supply and without other accessories other than the two modules mentioned.
