Steam locomotive 477 008 of the Czechoslovak State Railways (ČSD) represents one of the most important steam engines in Czechoslovak railway history. This edition model from Roco impresses with its completely new design, exceptionally fine detailing and faithful reproduction of the first production series of the legendary 477.0 series. The 477.0 series was the last and most technically advanced steam locomotive series of the ČSD. The locomotives were manufactured by ČKD Sokolovo in Prague between 1951 and 1955 and were intended for heavy passenger transport. Thanks to their distinctive blue paint with white decorative lines, they earned the popular nickname Parrot among railway workers. The model offers an unobstructed view between the boiler and the frame, exceptionally finely crafted pipes under the boiler, a separately mounted star on the smoke chamber door and a detailed driver's cabin. The model's delicate spoked wheels and metal parts emphasize its realistic appearance and high collector's value.
