The E 469.1018 electric locomotive of CSD is a powerful freight locomotive designed for operation on the 3 kV DC system. The model faithfully reproduces the Skoda 43E factory type version with the characteristic narrow orange stripe on the front. Finely detailed bogies and spoked wheels accurately capture the appearance of the prototype.

 

The prototype was developed in the early 1960s in response to the demand for new, powerful electric freight locomotives for the northern and eastern regions of former Czechoslovakia. A locomotive from the E 499.1 series under development was adapted as a prototype for freight service. With a continuous output of 2,032 kW, the locomotives reached a maximum speed of 90 km/h. A total of 85 E 469.1 class locomotives were delivered by Skoda to the Czechoslovak State Railways.

 

The model stands out with its fine detailing, numerous delicate features and authentic appearance. Etched locomotive plates are included in the package, further enhancing the realism of the model.
