Inspired by medieval art, the ninera offers a unique set of features and is appreciated for its sophisticated mechanics, sound, and eye-catching design. Even while building it, you can give your mind a well-deserved break from everyday worries. The assembly process is not difficult, and you will be rewarded with attractive details, whether imaginative ornaments or the movement of the planetary gear. You will experience exciting fun as the instrument comes to life under your hands. The finished model will bring you a sense of pride and satisfaction. You play the ninera by turning the crank, and the six keys can then be used to easily control the pitch of the melodic string. The second, continuously playing (bourdon) string plays in harmony with the melodic string at a set interval (fourth, fifth, octave). The instrument can be easily and very finely tuned using the pegs on the head thanks to reduction gears. The drone string can be muted using a small lever for easier tuning. The position and contact of the strings with the friction wheel can be adjusted using the rotary knobs on the bridge.

For a clear sound, the kit includes rosin for coating the friction wheel. The detailed illustrated assembly instructions also include several musical tablatures to help you get started. Tuning instructions, playing lessons, and additional tablatures can also be found in the description below.
