The unrivaled bestseller Vilac strives in an original way to develop children's often neglected sense of touch. Now it comes in a unique version designed by illustrator Michelle Carlslund. The game consists mainly of wooden figures hidden in a bucket equipped with a soft fabric bag inside. Younger children are tasked with putting their hand into the tube and describing what object they are holding based solely on touch. Parents can demonstrate the process to their children with a clear example. Older children can play the game in the form of lotto or bingo; picture cards of individual objects are included in the set for these games.
Main features:
- 21 game pieces and 20 picture cards
- For 2–5 players
- Various game variants
- design by Michelle Carlslund
- practical packaging

Game instructions:
Feel and find:
The first player takes a card from the pile. Then they must reach into the bag and find the wooden piece that matches the picture on the card by touch. If they pick the right piece, they keep the card and it is the next player's turn, who again starts by drawing a card from the pile. However, if the first player picks the wrong piece, they must pass their card to the next player, who must try to find the correct piece. After each round, the pieces are returned to the bag. When there are no cards left in the pile, the winner is determined. The player with the most cards wins. Attention! If one of the players accidentally draws a Yeti-shaped piece, they must return all their cards to the pile!
You can adjust the rules at your discretion to help children become more familiar with touching and searching for objects:
1 – Start with a small number of wooden pieces.
2 – Allow the children to look into the bag.
3 – Then make the game a little more difficult again by not allowing them to look into the bag.
4 – Add more pieces to the bag.
5 – Finally, once the children are used to the game, play according to the traditional rules.
BINGO variant:
Lay out 4 cards in a square and create one or more playing fields for each player. One of the players or a parent draws a piece from the bag and calls it out. The player who has a card corresponding to the piece called takes it and places it on their card. The first player to fill their playing field wins!

Travel with us through the naive and elegant world of Danish illustrator Michelle Carlslund, a world of soft colors filled with cute bears and friendly birds. In 2010, while Michelle was still studying graphic design, she printed her illustrations at home and tried to sell them at a design market, where they were a huge success! Several shops wanted to start selling her creations, so she thought it would be a good idea to start a business. Michelle quickly became a recognized independent illustrator. Today, her eco-friendly graphic works can be purchased worldwide in design boutiques, stationery stores, and children's shops. Michelle is inspired by everything around her. Her creations are delicate and poetic, with a stylized and childlike style that blends perfectly with Vilac toys. "I am a French fry lover, time optimist, eco-poster creator, and freelance illustrator based in Copenhagen, Denmark," is how illustrator Michelle Carlslund would describe herself in one sentence.

Vilac is proud to work closely with ADEME, a French government agency involved in a wide range of activities aimed at protecting the environment. The agency's history dates back to the 1970s, to the period of the oil crisis. It actively cooperates with politicians, public organizations, the private sector, and citizens. It is behind recommendations, proposals for technical, methodological and financial procedures, studies and awareness campaigns. Thanks to its many years of activity, ADEME is recognized as a trusted third party providing guarantees for the pursuit of a sustainable future. By purchasing a product from a manufacturer that cooperates with this agency, customers can demonstrate their commitment to preserving the environment through strictly assessed procedures and key innovations throughout the manufacturing process.

VILAC has been making children's dreams come true for over 100 years. The French brand VILAC, the flagship of the French wooden toy industry, is located deep in the heart of the Jura Mountains, surrounded by mountains, lakes, and forests. Since 1911, VILAC has been producing wooden toys hand in hand with traditional manufacturing, modern trends, an adaptable economy, and an emphasis on ecology. The toys are made from wood sourced from sustainably managed forests that respect biodiversity and place great emphasis on environmentally friendly technologies. VILAC prefers short transport routes for its wood supplies. It uses local wood and ensures that a new tree is planted for every tree that is felled. Because we can no longer ignore the challenges of environmental issues, VILAC is committed to protecting our planet. After all, a river is made up of many small drops. That is why VILAC continues its environmentally friendly activities.
VILAC also follows in the footsteps of the old woodturning factories that once made the region famous: craftsmen lovingly turn, smooth, sand, varnish, and decorate wood in their workshop in the Jura Mountains. Beech, hornbeam, alder, and boxwood from the surrounding French forests are used, guaranteeing the uniqueness and quality of the products. There are so many stories about these craftsmen who love their craft and have managed to pass it on. In fact, not much has changed in the last 110 years, which is quite reassuring. The gestures are almost the same, the noise of the machines, the sounds of carving and varnishing the wood create the same melody. And above all, the workshop still smells of beech wood chips, which bring back old memories. When the company does not have the know-how for certain toys in France, it manufactures them abroad, where it applies the same quality requirements. During production, the use of all plastic parts is eliminated, except where necessary for child safety. This also applies to product packaging. VILAC applies high quality and safety standards to the production of toys both in France and in other countries.
VILAC collaborates with talented illustrators, artists, and designers to create wooden toys with original designs and often decorative elements that add a touch of authenticity and naturalness to children's rooms. These artists adapt their visual world to traditional wooden toys: pop culture with Keith Haring, poetry with Michelle Carlsund, retro with Ingela P. Arrhenius, Suzy Ultman's eye for detail, and more. Every generation will find something to marvel at in their creations. VILAC is constantly evolving and establishing new collaborations, the most significant of which are with the Musée d'Orsay and the Réunion des Musées Nationaux (RMN), the Élysée Palace – the seat of the French presidents. It also collaborates with the Ladislav Sutnar Faculty of Design and Art in the Czech Republic. VILAC wooden toys are unique, timeless, always trendy, and enchant all generations. VILAC helps shape children's imaginations with its joyful illustrations and designs and its reinterpretations of classic toys that never grow old. In 2011, VILAC was awarded the Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant (Living Heritage Company) label: a unique government recognition of excellence "in the French style" for its Made in France product range. For 100 years, VILAC has been connecting children with toys they love and cherish. And why do children love them so much? That remains VILAC's secret.
