The wooden glue-together kit contains wooden blocks of specific lengths for building log walls, parts for roofs and gables, cardboard cutouts for windows and doors, and pre-printed paper decals. The kit includes a schematic assembly plan.

HOBBY KITS contain everything you need for assembly. Simple illustrated instructions with symbols for each step are provided, so children all over the world can assemble the kit. The basic building material consists of precisely made pine blocks measuring 9×9 mm in lengths from 16 to 230 mm, intended for building log walls. The surfaces of roofs, gables, balconies, and terraces are made of 3 mm plywood and covered with paper prints. Functional doors and windows glazed with foil are made of printed cardboard. The individual structures are glued together with wood and paper glue (not included). The instructions include short chapters on construction and the history of folk architecture. The models are built to a scale of 1:32.
The finished buildings are attractive additions to children's rooms and can be used for playing with toy cars, animals, soldiers, and dolls. At Christmas, they can form the basis of a folk nativity scene.

History of the building

The regular ringing of bells in the morning or evening was an integral part of village life. Bell towers became most widespread from 1751, when Empress Maria Theresa issued an order to sound the alarm in case of fire by ringing bells. The oldest bell towers were very simple structures, often just tree branches with a bell hanging from them and a small shingle roof. It was only later that bell towers were built as separate wooden structures with sloping or perpendicular columns on which the bell was hung, covered with a shingle gable or tent roof. Wells and springs were sources of good drinking water. Springs were sometimes located at a considerable distance from cottages. Water was carried in wooden buckets. Wells and springs were lined with stone. Winches or wooden pulleys were used to draw water from deeper wells.
