A catapult is a medieval siege weapon used to launch large projectiles, usually stones or other objects that could cause damage, pitch, or burning tar. In ancient and medieval times, it was used during sieges of cities, fortresses, or castles, especially with the intention of destroying or damaging their walls and then penetrating inside with the attacking army.

Be enchanted by the new range of Walachia CREATIVE KITS, consisting of precisely made and carefully machined pine wood blocks measuring 9×9 mm in lengths from 16 to 230 mm, smooth 3 mm thick plywood and, in some kits, paper prints. The individual parts are glued together with commonly available wood and paper glue (not included). Each set includes simple illustrated instructions that will guide you step by step through the entire construction process.

The aim of the award's creators is to provide guidance and appeal to parents and educators who want to influence the direction of the market and consider the healthy personal development of children to be of paramount importance. The award has been presented since 1994 and is a joint project of the Association for Toys and Games, the Toy Association of the Union of Fine Artists of the Czech Republic, and the Association for Preschool Education. These associations, together with the Museum of Decorative Arts in Prague and the Municipal Museum in Kamenice nad Lipou, award the prize at the Hračkobraní festival, which has been held annually since 2006 at the castle in Kamenice nad Lipou, where you can also see a permanent exhibition of all the award-winning toys.

The Czech company WALACHIA® is a family business founded in 1991 that manufactures wooden toys in Fryšták in the Zlín Region.
