Makovský
Karel Makovský wooden toys have been made in the small village of Dědové in the heart of the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands since 1992. The production is linked to a tradition that has been going on since the 19th century, but it does not try to produce replicas of historical wooden toys. On the contrary, it constantly moves forward in its development and combines the historical basis of production with modern design. The wood, simplicity, and charming appearance of the toys are a link between history and today's dynamically developing world of technology. An important principle of production is also an emphasis on quality and ecology. These wooden toys meet the most demanding European standards and have all been certified by testing institutes. A declaration of conformity with the applicable standards and technical requirements for toys is also a matter of course. The quality, design, and craftsmanship of these wooden toys have been recognized by their placement in demanding foreign markets such as Germany, Switzerland, France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Japan, Austria, Israel, and many others.
