New for 2024, powerful, compact and yet extremely detailed, this is how this completely newly designed steam locomotive from PIKO presents itself. The bulky construction of the real machine has been excellently captured and converted into a model on an exact scale. Thanks to the finely crafted frame and unobstructed view of the running gear, the massive boiler appears to be floating. This effect is further enhanced by the finely crafted star-shaped spokes of the wheels, while the chassis also impresses with its precisely crafted brake rod.

 

Typical design details of real machines were carefully taken into account during the development of the model. The transparent glazing of the driver's cab and the open interior allow a view of the detailed rear wall of the boiler and the equipment in the driver's cab. The use of zinc die-cast and metal parts gives the model considerable weight, which, in combination with a finely tuned motor with flywheels, guarantees excellent driving characteristics. Thanks to the factory-installed PSD XP Sound decoder, the lighting of the running gear, the driver's cab, and the impressive flashing in the firebox area can be controlled digitally.
