The Roco Z21 track occupancy detector is designed for digital model railways controlled by the Z21 system. The module allows monitoring the occupancy of individual track sections and is ideal for automation of operation, train control or track security. The device allows the detection of up to 16 separate sections, using the principle of current monitoring - the presence of a vehicle is recognized based on the current consumption in a given section. Connection to the system is via the R-Bus, which ensures reliable data transmission to the Z21 control center. The module can be configured using buttons directly on the device or via POM-CV programming. The detector can be easily configured using the integrated programming button or software, and each input has its own status LED for a clear display of occupied sections. This module is designed for digital control with Z21 central units and is very suitable for automation, signaling and train control in more complex railways. The module is scale-independent and is designed for digital model railways of various sizes. The type of operation and electrical parameters are decisive, not the scale.
