The Roco Z21 Detector is a device designed for model railways with the Z21 system, which is used to report track occupancy. The module monitors the current in eight separate track sections and transmits information about their occupancy to the control center via R-BUS or CAN-BUS. This greatly facilitates automation and monitoring of operations, especially in larger or less visible parts of the track. Thanks to RailCom® support, the CAN-BUS connection can also be used to detect the address of the locomotive in each section.
The detector can be easily configured using the integrated programming button or software, and each input has its own status LED for a clear display of occupied sections. This module is designed for digital control with Z21 central units and is very suitable for automation, signaling, and train control in more complex track layouts. The module is scale-independent and is designed for digital model railways of various sizes. The decisive factors are the type of operation and electrical parameters, not the scale.
