Diesel locomotive 118 210 – this model represents a detailed six-axle diesel locomotive of the 118 210 series, which was operated by the Deutsche Reichsbahn (DR) in the former GDR. The locomotive was one of the largest and most versatile diesels on the East German railway and was used for both freight and passenger transport, including on branch lines and steep gradients. The H0 scale model features a number of separately applied parts, some of which are metal, ensuring a high level of detail and a realistic appearance. The locomotive has six driving axles with faithfully reproduced wheel sets, ensuring a realistic appearance and smooth running on the tracks. The lighting functions can be switched using a DIP switch, allowing for accurate lighting according to the direction of travel. The model is based on a machine based at the Meiningen depot, belonging to the Erfurt railway division. The low axle load (15.6 t) allowed it to operate even on weaker branch lines, while the locomotive's power was sufficient for heavy trains, making it one of the most versatile large diesel locomotives of its time.
